On August 10, 2010 Inside Edition aired a story on the new book "Little Girl Blue: The Karen Carpenter Story" by Randy L. Schmidt. During the segment, Randy is interviewed about the life and tragic death of Karen Carpenter.
Karen was 108 pounds when she died. It'd be good to get your sources correct and be sure they are credible before writing a book of which you did not know the person nor the family.
@dabebe39 I heard She was 108lbs when she died also, but unfortantly the damage had been done! she was taking syrup of ipecac and each time you take it and its not for poison related issues it eats a piece of your heart away she was taking it every day and it killed her! sooooo sad!
Awesome, awesome book! I don't know how many times I've read it now, but when I knew it came out I bought it that night and could barely put it down. Excellent!
@choirlady1976 The book is correct -- Karen was 108 pounds. The mistake was made by those at Inside Edition.

I thought she actually got up to 108 lbs at the time of her death, not 82lb. But she did get down to 82lb before recieving help.
