This is a video for the 'Chronic Healing' blog (formerly known as Jeanne's Endo Blog). Jeanne, who has interstitial cystitis (among several other chronic conditions) talks about Interstitial Cystitis Awareness Month and bladder instillations.
Jeanne is not a health care practitioner and does not give medical advice. Please consult your physician to discuss your treatment options.
A copyright is in place on all of Jeanne's videos and she asks that no one re-distribute them without express permission from her.
Please visit Chronic Healing (http://chronichealing.com/) for information and support on numerous chronic conditions including interstitial cystitis, fibromyalgia, endometriosis, infertility, multiple chemical sensitivity, Raynaud's Disease and more.
In addition to discussing chronic conditions and chronic pain, we cover coping skills, relaxation techniques, tips for advocating for oneself when interacting with healthcare professionals, Internet safety, and much more.
To lighten things up, there are occasional posts with music and art. Jeanne also tries to inject a bit of levity occasionally since talking about chronic conditions can get pretty serious. (It may be a cliché but laughter really is the best medicine). Once in awhile, it helps to feature something uplifting or funny to break up the more serious posts.
If you haven't already done so, please check out Chronic Healing at http://chronichealing.com/.
Thank you!

@climbingirl1
I'm glad you found the video helpful. My IC symptoms now are much improved (as opposed to the 12 years I had symptoms but no diagnosis). The 4 doctors and 4 cystoscopies I had finally paid off when I found a doctor who had a clue about IC. The bladder instillations have definitely been helpful for me. Every patient is different, of course... but there is hope. Best of luck to you!

Thank you so much for this wonderful video and for sharing your story. I feel much more confident now in talking to my doctor about treatment options---and knowing that there is hope! I am glad that your treatment plan is helping you.
