It is mind boggling and infuriating that you were subjected to questions from that cop that are designed to implicate you in that man's violation of you. That and your father's response just make my blood boil. You are so brave to speak so candidly about your experience. This video is quietly going to help someone else in pain - I just KNOW it. Van.....I am so sorry that happened to you. I completely understand your feelings. I think sometimes the police and other authority figures have no clue how the questions they ask victims are offensive and the impact the implications the questions they ask may have on that person. NO ONE deserves that! I am glad you realized it was not your fault and you did nothing to deserve the abuse.

You know what Van? By you talking about this, you are gonna help so many people in the long run. This video puts allot of the puzzle together.  The more we learn about one another the more we see why our friends are the way they are. I'm just glad you are OK!

Oh no. I went through some things when I was younger that I remember quite often when I am doing the most mundane of things and they put a knot in my throat many days. People sometimes remark that I act a certain way when I am in specific situations. I choose not to explain. I think you are a brave soul and I am proud of you for speaking about your experience. Regrettably I can say I understand wholeheartedly.

You did all the right things!!! Thank you for sharing your story, I know it had to be hard to say it. I will say I still don't like the smell of beer on a mans breath especially my dad.
