Eastern Orthodox Christian exercise of Watchfulness and the Jesus Prayer (nepsis).

It is practiced in the Eastern Orthodox church.

The official name of this Audio Lesson on the websites and elsewhere is 'Ephraim Prayer' because it was the Elder Ephraim of St Anthony's Monastery in Arizona who wrote it, he's a very blessed elder and teacher of Orthodox monasticism. He came from Greece and has planted over 13 monasteries in the USA. This is the one where he resides: http://www.stanthonysmonastery.org/index.php
Its a magnificent monastery, truly wonderful.

  • Prayer is powerful...

  • @sararudd92 Yes, and the Jesus Prayer is very powerful because by the name of Jesus Christ every knee shall bow.

If you want to have the peace of Jesus Christ in your heart, try to acquire (by God's help) the prayer of the heart.

This teaching is an Eastern Orthodox teaching. The Eastern Orthodox Church is over 1900 years of Christian Tradition passed down and kept Sacred . Its known by many people as "The One True Church", and I can affirm this with my own eyes and soul.

  • @mishakol129

Sir no...Oriental orthodoxy havent changed. Eastern orthodoxy changed in the nature of christ.

  • @KimoLovesJesusLoves No, you guys left the Ecumenical Council and so we are the true Church.
