  • you know personally i think that the motor looks fine its just probably a thing that they didnt look when they were packaging it. hope it helps :)

  • the motor itself runs fine. but most, if not all, motor mounts have 4 holes in an even spaced pattern. yet the holes on the back of this motor form a skinny triangle. 3 three holes that do not line up with any of the 4 holes on a mount. thanks for commenting.

  • thats factory error. u didi it in the correct way. u nid to drill hole on the towerpro plastic mount.

  • cool thanks. I was wondering if I had messed up when I ordered.

  • RE: motor mount. Ahhhh yes, welcome to the world of non-standardized and low Q.C. RC parts. Unless you are getting everything form the same manufacture expect to do some or a bunch of modification. Do you know if you got the CG right on the plane? Try running into the wind with the plane and quickley letting go of the plane. It the CG is right it should glide with it's nose slightly down. If the tail drops at all it's tail heavy. Try do a hand launch, 3/4 throttle, into wind firm toss.

  • allright, thanks for the reply. I am a lttlle scared to hand launch because that means it has farther to fall. I know for a fact that the theory of this plane is quite sound. I might be using the wrong "stuff" for this design. Or it could be pilot error. I got some good glides after I post the video. I have put the rudder on right stick since that is how I learned( i know it is a bad habbit.) and I will try again today.

  • nothing to b shame of everybody CRASH....

Tips: u can tape your batt using a double side tape n u muz not forget to bring masking tape to the field for instant fixing.

  • no stress bro we all take the walk on the first flight heck I take it on the first flight of most of my scratch builds still..Keep at it...

  • When I glide test a new design I actually never let it hit the ground. I run into the wind, quickly pull my hand away, see how it's gliding, then catch it before it hits the ground. This method get my CG almost perfect every time. I have done it with my Trainer, Spitfire, EDF F-22 and even my 6 foot long EDF Concord. I just keep moving the battery till it glides with a slight nose down attitude and about a 40 degree down glide slope. With /2 servos it's a good idea to put both on 1stick.

  • O yeah and thanks for telling people about my videos. Very kind of you! I also wanted to mention ground take-off's might be tough with that plane due to lots of friction on the struts on the ground. Glad you are having fun scratch building. It's really satisfying to see a home made plane fly!
