This is an unpaid, unscripted testimonial of a patient who has undergone a da Vinci robotic thyroidectomy. Her surgeon was Dr. Tod Huntley, MD of the Center for Ear Nose Throat & Allergy, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. He was assisted by his partner, Dr. Ed Krowiak, MD. As can be seen, she was doing beautifully when this video was shot 6 months after her surgery. These results are typical of what has been experienced by Dr. Huntley's and Krowiak's patients.

Drs. Huntley and Krowiak were among the USA's early adopters of this groundbreaking surgery, which allows for thyroid removal without a neck incision. They have extensive experience in thyroid surgery, both traditional and robotic, and are instructors who teach and proctor other surgeons who wish to learn and perfect their robotic head and neck surgical techniques.

The Center for Ear Nose Throat & Allergy (CENTA) is a group of six academic private practice otolaryngologists, a PhD speech pathologist, two nurse practitioners, and a cytologist. In addition to practicing general adult and pediatric ENT and allergy, they specialize in tertiary referral head and neck cancer, sleep apnea, and robotic surgery.

Please visit the group's website: www.centadocs.com for more information or call them at 1-800-283-1056 to schedule an appointment.

  • Very convincing.

  • Would never guess that she had surgery for a neck tumor. No incision in the neck. Pretty cool.
