  • I am trying out RWDecal for the first time. And it won't let me create even a 181m x 82m decal. No matter how small of area I ask it to create, it always give an "Out of memory" error. My computer runs RailWorks 2 smoothly, and I don't believe this really is a memory issue. Could somebody help me, s'il vous plait :)

  • @chrisvazquez7 I am happy to provide support but not through YouTube comments. The support contact email address can be found here on the RWDecal web page (look for the support link at the top).

If you email me some details I will look into it. There are no other reports of this issue so I suspect it is specific to what you are doing or your computer. I will do my best.

  • i have a question. Why is says the program the folowing: the lower left atitude must be less than the upper right altitude. I change the the long latitude bi setting other placemark and all times says the same. Why?

  • @kdlehel

The 2 placemarks are the Lower Left and Upper Right. There names explain there position. The lower left MUST be lower and to the left of the upper right. You get the message because your lower left placemark is either higher than the upper right or it is too far west (right) of the upper right. Simply move your lower left marker down and left.

  • once you've inserted google earth into RW do you then add tracks and the scenery over it? And how do you get rid of the google earth once you've created your route. this may sound stupid but it's my first time doing anything like this

  • @MrTrainsimfan Yes you just add track and scenery over the top. Decals autoamtically "stick" to the ground. Afterwards you can simply delete the decal or RWDecal will be able to remove them in the next relese.

  • Worked very well for me. The best part about this is "can be able to enlarge the decals". Thank you for helping me.

  • Yes thats exactly right. You use the decal to basically add a have a background image on the ground of data from Google Earth. This then allows you to lay track very accurately and make complex yards, junctions, stations etc possible. After you have finished laying the track and adding buildings, roads, hedges, fields etc in the right place you then remove the decal.

You do not have to remove the decal but they are actually quite a big hit on the game engine.
