Watched Pahud perform in Cyprus last week. It was wonderful to see it live in such wonderful surroundings.

Is this the Berlin Philharmonic? I used to watch their videos and recognise some faces... I'm not an expert but I like this, the best I have heard...

The melody to this is the same as the melody to the aria Welche Wonne Welche Lust from Mozart's opera The Abduction From The Seraglio. Not sure if this flute concerto came before the opera, or after the opera. If someone knows for sure, let me know. But it is the exact same melody - of course because this is a movement in a concerto, it's more like the music to the aria with a longer musical extension/variation.

@dnine14 it is writen for obe im pretty sure, some songs like this are written on flute and oboe and probably other familiar songs
