I can only hope, for my children's sake, that the aging baby boomers don't forget to vote in favor of school millages and the like. School sports and recreational programs are severely underfunded and it's because the people who vote the most in local elections (senior citizens) don't vote for taxes that don't benefit them (i.e. taxes for school and youth programs).

Dude you are damn right. Also when the kids get to be like 15 they should no damn well what they should do to lose weight. Everbody who says they have a fatty gene or diabetes...well lets all ask our selves why would a fatty gene form and why would diabetes occur...its damn sure not magic

Yet another reason to disagree with the No Child Left Behind Act. In my eyes, that's about as useless as the Combatting Autism Act if not MORE useless.

it's all up to the parents....it is not McDonalds fault, it is the parents! They are in control of what their kids eat, wear, do, and who they hang out with...then they go whine about how their kid is out of control....HMM, gee, i wonder who caused that, YOU the parents!!

it's not ironic that P.E. is affected by the No Child Left Behind Act because the goal is to concentrate on grades. It's only ironic if grades were ignored, not P.E. which is different from grades.
