@1acount there are several forces that make the subduction. First the oceanic slab slides under another more light slab like the continental slab. Because it reaches high pressures and temperatures most of its rocks being basic are metamorphosed into Ecolgites - these rocks are denser than the upper mantle so the slab sinks in. The sinking effect determines a pull force called slab pull
