  • Yesterday and today they've been running alot of Joan & Bettes movies on TCM..can't wait for Mildred Pierce...Both women were similiar in the fact they were leading ladies in a male dominated industry, strong women, and both talented in their own rights. I love Joan in The Women & Mildred Pierce, and Grand Hotel, Bette in Jezebel, Now Voyager, Dark Victory & Elizabeth & Essex...she acted circles around Erol Flynn!!

  • Great pictures,I personaly prefer Bette but they were both great stars in their own right.

  • Im with you, I love them both in their own right. They had such class, such talent, noone can compare to either Joan or Bette, they just don't make 'em like those two anymore!

  • Joan numero uno!!

  • Bette by far is the queen on the screen in my opinion, all talent, she didnt care what she looked like, old, young, make-up, no make-up etc. I like Joan also, but I prefer Bette's dramatic presence on screen.

  • Bette may be the First Lady of American Cinema... but Joan is the QUEEN.

  • i know bette davis was always thought of as the superior actress, but i don't think of of their contemporaries actually holds a candle to joan crawford.

  • How can anyone choose between these 2???...both Aries, both beyond talented, both sexy, both dominating, both just goddesses of cinema!!! I can't choose and I don't think I'll ever be able to LOL =)

  • Joan for sure

  • Joan had nothing on Bette Davis ...Bette was the greatest!

  • This song really compliments Joan and Bette; because being actresses of the silver screen they did play "every woman".

  • Bette by far.
