the people are afraid of the govt. we are like ants flowing out of the ant hill top everyday, working for the very thing that is killing us. the american dollar. this is not the same country of 40 years ago. it is now a disfunctional truant,on crack, holding its hand out to China for a fix, while the elitists who run it and our congress/senate, incorporate in other countries,so that those very elitists can get richer. the billionaires of the world made 25% more on their wealth the last two years.

U should fear the goverment. They have the ability to currupt ur life! They can lock ur ass away!
Everybody bitches about how the goverment screwed everyone yet they do nothing about it! Y because fat ass's like this hide behind there computers, because they fear the goverment!
-
I really think that people should NOT fear the government- I mean, really, we have the ability to take all their power away if we don't want them in office. If either we should be afraid of them or the other way around, then the government should be afraid of us.
-
you (the people) are more afraid of your governmen...
"Government should be afraid of it's people"
-
ur right
but what i think most ppl fail to see is that WE THE PEOPLE have all the power...there r millions of us and few of them. we pay their salaries. we elect them. we can take them out of office.
i think its high time americans start using the power that they have

He didn't realy win by landslide...well not as far as the popular vote was concerned (he did landslide the electoral).
Fact is, Mcain lost for having been too supporting of the Bush administartion, which was a fucking travesty. He didn't lose as badly as most imagine though, or I myself had hoped.

Dude, you're right on the money!

At the end of the day, it's all just BS talking. I think all can agree that we get enough of that. When are we going to get a "do-er?" And please don't tell me Obama. People were already labeling him the second coming before he even did a damn thing. He didn't get elected because he was black. He got elected because poeple were hopeless. You see those people swaying back and forth in those huge chuches waiting to get cured, this election was kind of the same thing.

hey superman... we are living under tyranny.

I wish I had a webcam and watched V for Vendetta, then I can be smart like you.

k- just to clairify your rhetoric.
of course in THEORY (or a perfectly functoning world/democracy)the people are the governing power. however the status quo in the us is the oppisite. its run by corporate intrest THAT DO WHATEVER THEY WANT TO! so if your wondering who pulls the strings in theatre of gov its the MAN not us brethrin.

another mental giant heard from? Wow is this grade three? im not even sure if that sentence makes any sense. btw im glad that ur proud that i can spell stupid correct. it was quite the challenge.
-
Another mental giant heard from. At least you spelled "stupid" right!
-
Maybe so, that happens quite a lot. But since NO... I repeat...NO representative is immune from being voted out of office if their constituency decides they're not doing what THE PEOPLE want. Just how do you think Bush got elected twice? By himself? Or by that disenfranchised majority you speak of?
So I ask you, why should anyone "fear" the government of a representative democracy?
-
is that suppost to be funny or serious? it sounds more like a lame parody or something haha. u funny man. or stooopid sheep.
-
riiooooooghtttt.......... stupid fuck
-
Smug pseudo-intellectual, are you trying to sound like a liberal leftist professor? The only thing arabs understand is unconditional, overwhelming, unequivical FORCE. A tenfold response to 911, not negotiations or conditional summits.

Maybe you should have watched it. That sort of half-assed, jump-to-conclusions-without-th
inking attitude is responsible for alot of the mess America is in currently.
The leaders and government of a country are like the fathers, while the population is the children.
Are we saying that fathers should fear their children?

The leaders of a democratic country are not supposed to be like parents. They are supposed to be like employees. That's the idea behind representative government. That is why they are called civil servants. They are SUPPOSED to work for the citizens, but sometimes they forget that.

Answer -In a representative democracy, THE PEOPLE ARE THE GOVERNMENT, YOU IDIOT!
and trim that nose-hair, you look ridiculous.

They are supposed to be. But I very seriously doubt you find a majority of people in this country who have felt that this government has represented them and their interests over the last two terms. And what noise hair. :-)
