I have included some memorable interview clips with Dame Elizabeth Taylor as a guest from the period of circa 1986 through 2006. Please enjoy this series of short interviews as Elizabeth searches her soul and touches upon her personal history, her self -image and self esteem, her loved ones and family and always AIDS. She reviews her own personal timeline regarding her battles with AIDS Fundraising and making certain that important people listened. There is a shy quality that we see, far from the zealous characters she has portrayed onscreen. Elizabeth Taylor talks openly and honestly in detailing some of the difficulties that she has survived in life. She is a true survivor in every sense of the word. Upon watching these clips myself, I fell in love with her all over again. She definitely leaves her ego at the front door as she approaches some deep subject matter all in an effort to allow us to know and understand the real Elizabeth Taylor, and not the Elizabeth Taylor we read about in the tabloids. Her honest is refreshing and it suits her so well. Again, enjoy the upcoming, "A Few Words" clips.
With the "A Few Words III" series of Dame Elizabeth Taylor interviews there is bound to be a bit of crossover. In this third of ten video clips, Elizabeth Taylor talks about being married to Nicky Hilton, Michael wilding and the beginning of her relationship with 3rd husband, mike Todd. She is honest and candid about her feelings pertaining to each of these relationships. She also talks about her time at 'The Betty Ford Center' and how her life changed when she stopped drinking alcohol. That particular Barbara Walters interview was conducted in February 1997, right before going into surgery for a brain tumor. Though there is some overlap in these video clips but, please enjoy all of the clips. In viewing these short film clips, please donate to the cause that has become Dame Elizabeth Taylor's life mission for over two decades. The eradication of AIDS in the world. Until such time, "The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation" funds programs and organization that give direct care to the population of millions affected with HIV/AIDS...whether it is direct care or related/ associated services. So many people are now living longer with AIDS/HIV due to advances in viral medication technology, but the impact of living a life with AIDS is far reaching. AIDS affects all of us, in one way or another. Generations of young people are not conscious of the 1980's. The face of AIDS has changed since the time when those who were ill were visibly stigmatized, akin to being lepers. Now, those with HIV/AIDS live life among the general population attempting to cope with the disease. Sometimes, silently. Emotionally, the impact is just the same as those first diagnosed. Fear. The only solution is to rid the world of this disease, therefore opening a technological highway aimed to ignite the remedy to so many other diseases as well.
Any amount of time or money will push this development ahead, not behind...never behind!
Thank you, Richard Bassett

  • Could you possibly upload the whole Barbara interview? Thanks

  • Unfortunately, you can only uploard 10 minutes of video per clip. The reason they are numbered is a guide allowing you to watch the entire thing. I have several clips of many interviews. If starting at #1....and viewing them in order, you will get the entire thing.

  • Too bad you didn't put the whole interview, I would have liked to have seen the whole thing.

  • The interview is in its whole but must be posted in parts, as this is YouTube's rule. Just watch all of the parts and the entire thing will be posted.

  • i have to do mrs taylor for a speech interview....we made sock puppets so i chose elizabeth taylor

  • Where people go wrong is believing what they see on cleverly crafted film: stills or motion: light color gells are used, which can and will, by design, impact the color balance captured, making in many instances eg, when it comes to film and video footage (err ... moving digital imagery) pale eyes appear, again by intent, COLOR-SHIFTED to eg, green, blue or violet: fortunately PRE-DIGITAL such moving film, unless vignetted, can be identified by an overall frame shift; stills, were AIRBRUSHED!

  • Elizabeth was such a classic filled with a PASSION FOR life, love and people. We are lucky God saved her so she could save so many lives for over two decades with her work to defeat HIV/AIDS. Elizabeth was and always will be a national treasure. Many in the BURTON camp want to blame her for everything that went wrong in his life. Well it is time people tried to help themselves & like Elizabeth worked to leave a legacy that made a difference in our world. Rest in the arms of the angels Violet Ey

  • Liz always kept it real. And you always felt, no matter how flawed she was, or how many marriages, or the drugs or whatever, she was sooo humble and easy to relate to. She seems like she'd be a great friend & easy to talk to.

  • that's freaking awesome!!!!!She was in Hollywood and a virgin on her wedding night. You sure don't here that often anymore :(

  • Barbara doesn't have a clue. Elizabeth did marry the same man, again and again. Some were physically abusive and some were verballly abusive - all were controlling. Basically, she married men like her father and (always) she was looking for their acceptance.

Mike Todd is somewhat the mystery man. We'll never know if that marriage would have worked, but he too was controlling.

  • LEGEND

  • I love these videos. But I'm really disappointed that they fade out right in the middle of a sentence. Not very good editing. But still glad to be able to see these. I would much rather see each interview as a whole instead of clumped together fading in and out.
