Ryan O'Neil hurts ewverybody close to him. Joanne Moore was so beautiful, but brought down by drugs, alcohol and then lung disease. Their son and daughter, Griffin and Tatum both troubled and drug abusers; both blaming Ryan. I never get tired of Mayberry, Andy, Aunt Bea, Opie and the wonderful sense of family life they had and the good feeling the show left with me and everyone else.

Seriously, Andy, you have Miss Peggy who adores both you & Opie, can cook, can sing, is wordly & you pick Helen Crump? Idiot.

Nice that you included the brief dinner table scene at the beginning. For years, I've been imitating Andy's "mmmmMMMM!" when someone asks me if I like the food.

Wow!! Thanks -I'm a huge TAGS fan -Glad to have that history.

This was a great scene; a beautiful song sung brilliantly by a beautiful woman. I wish there was a version of her singing out there somewhere for download. The closest I've found on iTunes was by Elizabeth Mitchell. The name of the song is "Down in the Valley."

She was soooo beautiful. This is one of my favorite clips, also, and each time I see it in reruns, I think about the sad, downward spiral her life would take only a few years after this clip. Beautiful lady, beautiful voice and lovely southern accent! :-) IMO, she was by far the most beautiful of Ryan O'Neal's wives/girlfriends, etc. Seems like everything that moron touched ended up in shambles.
always loved this episode (floyd is hysterical) and she was a fine singer too, pity she didn't stay on longer.

Joanna Moore attended Greensboro Senior High School where I went in the 60's and I remember she was in several stage productions there. Had no idea she would be famous later on. Even though I read she is from Georgia she at some point lived in Greensboro when she was younger. Interesting. Thanks for posting this clip; my husband thought she had the most beautiful eyes!
