Having seen MTT and the SFS perform Shostakovich 5th live @ Davies ... this orchestra is nothing short of AMAZING. I would love to see them again. What I wouldn't give to stand in front of them even if its only for a rehearsal of a simple march.

@bachgod I'm going out on a limb here, but you don't seem so familiar with the inner workings of an orchestra. The ones I've visited atleast has been nothing more than a hot-spot for people from all over the world who love music so much most people can't even imagine. And if you are one of those people you're just so happy to be around other people with that same passion that color, religion and all that stuff is completely uninteresting.

@bachgod I think you're on of the few who actually thinks of this. The only requirements for getting into an orchestra is skill and an immense love for classical music. Look at Venezuela or the programs in LA working hard to bring classical music to everyone.
You only seem to see the colors and forget nationalities as well. Visit the berlin philharmoniks website and look through the members of the orchestra and see the diversity for yourself.
