NKU Symphonic Winds, Brant Karrick Director
This transcription of the Concerto for wind ensemble is by Howard Bolin (US Marine Band) used with permission.
This is a performance from the KMEA Convention 2009 made on a flip video camera with no external mic. We had to take some big cuts (including in the cadenzas) in order to meet our time limit for the KMEA convention.
@mutualism The original specifies only a high A. It seems that most flautists go for that F. (I'm currently surveying YouTube videos of this movement to see who actually DOESN'T play that high F, haha.)

I was wondering that too... she obviously can, she made a video on how to do it. I'm trying to decide whether or not to do it and her rationale for not doing so would be useful in making my decision

A great relaxed quality overall!
Was there a particular reason that you didn't play this piece from memory?

That was amazing! May I ask why you didn't play the high F at the end?

I like this piece but there' one phrase that sounds like "Flinstones, meet the Flinstones" and it's a little jarring for that to be in there. LOL I think my brain makes too many connections.
