this song doesnt sound 52 years old. In my opinion a few of Buddy's tunes have awful background vocals that date the songs more than anything.
Backing vocals have their place but Buddy did not need them.
it would of been cool if HE did them.

His death was a tragic loss to American music. Imagine if he lived - writing and performing with the likes of Lennon-McCartney, Brian Wilson and a host of others? He was a true American genius. Only 22 - what would his body of work been had he lived a full life?
