I do not argue that there is climate change, but I will disagree on the claim that humans are causing it.
Here are a couple of good "facts":
The world has seen many ice ages, and yet it always warms back up.
One large volcanoe eruption puts more CO2 in the atmosphere than all combined human CO2 creation from the start of the industrial revolution till today.
You see how this "man made global warming" idea starts to look a little weak.

@tootime576 I have been living in the south of USA for a long time and, yes, what I described is a stereotype. It is the same stereotype as the one you have described of Europeans. Of course Americans are smart, but definately you aren't.

By the way, I disagree with your proposal TheHamlette.Your ideals rely on the principle that every human being is good by nature and will act in the interests of the group.
The reality is that every human being is an individual first and then becomes part of the society. That is why we will always look for our own interests and that is why we have set up the world like this.
The only thing we can do is to try to cultivate social responsible values, thus they become inherent to the individuals.
