  • I TOOK THE TAR PAPER OUT!!!

  • This is just like "lasagna gardening" - there's a book about it. But you don't need the tar paper

  • i know i didnt need the tar paper i used it because it was there and i figure it would be good to keeping weeds out

  • great idea that i want to try. thanks for the video. next year i hope you remove the tar paper as the toxins from that product are most likely being absorbed into the roots of your plants and therefore into your veggies and into you. not good for your body!

  • thanks i did take the tar paper up when i clean up the garden for the season

  • What you have unknownly created is an ideal, mushroom garden! I would look for some appearing & encourage them. You did not need tar paper or paper as depth alone & straw would prevent any weed growth from below & tarpaper will not stop trees, it does however add volatile hydrcarbons. Mycorrhizal mushrooms will consume & render harmless volatile hydrocarbons snd grow synergistically with your plants increasing your yield. Puffballs are an example google it. Puff some in or shaggy mane.

  • thank you for commenting i did not know that i was growing an mushroom garden lol. i have seen some of the mushroom that you were talking about but i have knock them over but i wont now lol and i will google them

see all

  • can you use pine straw instead of, or in combo. with hay? We live in a pine forest. Thanks

  • this is a great garden i love the song too

  • I like the groovy song you chose (could you tell me the name of the artist?) as well as your lovely garden. I'm in the process of planning my no dig raised vegetable garden
