  • Sister Ruqiya profoundly explained the reality about tribe or clan survival among Somali society. While it is true that the Somali youth in Diaspora (e.g., young Somali Americans) do not ask each other which clan they belong to, they know what clan they belong to. It is true also that many of the Somali youth in Diaspora do not have clan allegiance.

  • my professor gave me the url to this. It is a great discussion but I hoped they would talk more about the idea Zahuur brought up which is the external affects that brought down Siad Barre's government.
