INFORMATION ABOUT SYMPTONS&MEDICAL HISTORY BELOW
the main want/need for this video is to raise awareness as the specialist that i'm seeing on tuesday has phoned to say that she has no answers to why i am like this.
i have a VNS pacemaker put in five years ago.i also suffer from nocturnal seizures.i have been epileptic for 12 and a half years&i've been on every medication under the sun.
currently i'm on keppra (500mg)&vimpat (150mg) two tablets twice a day (or levetiracetam&lacosamide in medical world terms).
this condition needs to be aware of. i am suffering from:
memory loss, stuttering&slurring of speech, lethargicness, dizziness, shards of pain in my left side blurred vision, burning sensations in pacemakers, tingling sensations from the VNS wire, head pains that are either sharp or feel like someone has punched me.these pains are in the back left of my head.whilst i have pins&needless sensations on the back right side.
i've researched this online&the closest conclusion is perhaps ataxia?though i could be looking at completely the wrong avenue.the doctors won't give me an MRI scan as they are not willing to turn my pacemaker off but have concluded that it could be either:
a mini stroke, brain injury such as scarred tissue or even my epilepsy interfering with the brain.
but they discharged me from hospital after seeing a neurologist who concluded that i was suffering from a migraine.that was five days ago.i've been taking paracetamol since.
my health&speech&appetite have deteriorated.
regards to my appetite if i eat then i feel increasingly nauseous though i never am.i am sticking to basic food&even then my body will only allow cereal, and i still feel incredibly ill.
please help me.
cocoideo, if you are not already a member of the community forum available through the website of epilepsy.com, I'd like to invite you to join. In the forum you can ask questions and share your stories with other people who have epilepsy. It is one of several online community forums pertaining to epilepsy. People who have the VNS implanted in their bodies cannot go through any more MRI's because the MRI is one seriously strong magnet.
