Thats amazing! I myself, have gotten sucked into this cake cycle. Now, to make this, could I use Fondant instead of gum paste? And What if I wanted to make a fondant cake, but have the lid INTACT with the cake, almost like the box is closed. Because I wanted a bow on the very top of it.

Hi! Thanks a lot. Caking is just addictive isnt it? ;) Anyway, if ur not making the lid open then fondant is the way to go. You can make it anyway u like, just form the top of ur cake like a box lid using fondant. :)

Thanks KryJoe....im sorry to say that i cannot make a tutorial for this cake anytime soon, I have line-up of cakes to do until July....anyway, this cake is not too complicated, the flowers should be made ahead of time, they are all made of gumpaste. The lid of the box is styrofoam covered with fondant, I supported it will dowel to make the "slightly opened" effect. Let me know if you have questions if ur planning to do this cake.. ill be more than glad to help you. Thanks and God Bless!
