Ah, the bar scene. No action movie would be complete without one. Here you get to see Jeff Speakman beat up a few unsavory drunks. This scene still doesn't break the dreary tedium of the rest of the movie, even though you get a tiny bit of leg in the beginning.

After learning about the clemency from the death penalty of his sister's killer Martin Kagan (Michael Shaner,) John Lomax (Jeff Speakman) considers his options, and calls his old Army friend, Snake (Jim Varney.)

Referenced here by Captain Jackson (William Barry Scott) is real-life serial killer Richard Speck, who was sentenced to die, but was commuted to several consecutive life sentences. His parole was reviewed four times, but was denied every time. He died in jail of old age.

After experiencing Bobby Lee Hazen's clemency review and suprise visit by the Hazen clan, Lomax feels that he shouldn't have to relive his sister's death, like the families of Speck's victims when they attended the parole board meetings. As they were finding more victims linked to Kagan, Lomax feels that someday, Kagan would go free, as the killer would use those crimes to press his insanity case.

  • Can you upload the scene where Speakman destroys the family of hillbillies?

  • I uploaded it, good to watch, lots of Kenpo bits. Enjoy

  • these is a cool movie. but dissapointing in kenpo. they should do more fight scenes in that one. than it would be my fav after perfect weapon.

  • The original script called for a team of ex-Green Berets, I think. But they changed the script tremendously, when Speakman signed up for the movie. That's why some of the scenes were disappointing, the look tacked-in.

  • Ah, yes that is a bit long isn't it? This is somewhat a pivotal scene. Earlier in the movie, Lomax's sister was killed by Kagan when he returned the wallet he stole from her. Then, before this scene, Lomax went to a clemency hearing, which got pretty messy. Kagan was sentenced to die, and the viewers saw that he was also responsible another condemned man's murder charge.

Interested, hmm? Find this rare movie, then buy/rent and watch it. More common in VHS than in DVD. That bad.

  • the first movie I've seen Lance Corporal Dawson from a few good men.

  • Drunken Kenpo. Jackie chan beat that

  • @ridgerunner721601: I thought that the movie was action-packed and suspenseful, and probably one of Jeff Speakman's better action movies that he's done. And Jim Varney? Mr. Varney was the best thing about the movie! Sure, he had a short 3 to 5 minute cameo, but he really made great use of his time in the movie, as Mr. Varney's character provides Jeff Speakman's character with all the weapons and tools he need to go after his nemesis. I still miss Jim Varney... :(

    RIP Jim Varney (1949-2000)

  • I'm a big Jim Varney fan. He was hilarious as Ernest in all those commercials and movies. And he did a good job as Uncle Jed in The Beverly Hillbillies movie. This looks like a movie where he was in a serious role. Was it pretty good?

  • Check out the move at 5:04 ...Eat That!!!!!!!!

  • it ain't roadhouse..

  • Five awords.

  • I train Kenpo in sweden with Ingmar and Huk Planas sometimes.

And I train Inayan with Kenneth, and Emmanuel Hart comes here every now and then. So I train both.

Who knows, maybe one day I'll see you here in Sweden ;)

  • Hey,

So, do you train with E. Hart? I'm teaching Serrada at the Neo Tribe Kali group in Flushing, Queens, NY. Or do just do Kenpo now?

  • Ok, that's cool.

It's funny that I've found a Serrada practitioner here on youtube, I like Serrada aswell. I train all the styles of Inayan System III.

    Take care.
