i notice something interesting again and again, all the true great performers seem to be in complete harmony with both their male AND female sides. It has little i suspect with sexuality, more some kind of total connection to...oh i dunno. Olivier, Chaplin, Benny, Hope, even people you'd never ordinarily think of, Brando had an almost girlish quality sometimes. Lucielle Ball, Garland, even Richard Pryor. I think this is partly what lets them appeal to all.
