We visited this 12" gauge line in July 1989. The locomotive seen in this film is Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway built 'Lady of the Lakes'.

  • ahhh, i remember going on this train when i was about 8yo, i'm 18 now. I am pretty sure it closed down about 4 years ago which is quite sad.

  • Far from closing down it has actually expanded and is in a very healthy state ... I travelled on it as recently as August BH.

  • wat station was that?

  • Woody Bay

  • I've lived in the area my whole life and only ever been on this once as a kid, been intending to go again for years.

The ridicuously high Lido entry fees of the 80's really put my family off for a while (until someone showed us a hole in the fence ^_^)

  • im 15 tommorow and i still love a ride on it : ) they should expand it past the beach too

  • Wow that is pretty cool, hopefully i will be able to take my kids on it one day.

  • thanks geting on there today

  • Great memories...anyone remember the Junior Supporters circa 1994/5?

  • i work on this railway
