During the 1988 IMSA West Palm Beach G.P., A.J. Foyt was run into the wall by Oscar Larrauri. This clip shows the crash, then A.J. stalking Oscar so he could hit him back and Foyt talking about the crash after he retired his car.

  • Foyt was/is not a bad guy. Just a ferocious competitor. His main problem was he let his ass do the talking much of the time if things didn't go his way. But he is a-ok.

  • honestly born in 88 so i didn't get to see Foyt in his prime, but i knew the man had accomplished many feats and I had respect for him knowing this.

But after watching this, I have more respect for him. This man tells it like it is and has a passion for racing, and you don't fuck around on the race track like when lives are on the line.

I'm glad i found this AJ really is a true legend, this video confirmed it

  • A.J. just gets pissed at everything. Oscar had the line, and AJ went off trying to take it from him.

  • Super Tex should have knocked the hell out of that no talent SOB. AJ =LEGEND

  • Like hell , Oscar had the fucking line and proved it by leaving AJ's ass parked in the tires. What AJ always needed was someone to kick his pompus ass. AJ knew he was there and thought he could block him, and couldn't. If I was Oscar I'd been in AJ's pit teaching SuperTex I would race him or fight him either one, that's the only way you'll ever get any respect out of a man like Foyt, it don't matter if you win just if you'll fight. AJ was all that but not a real likable guy. He felt entitled.

  • OSCAR was correct in his line...A.J. allowed his "little head to do the thinking for his big head"...and pulled an Andretti. (& I'm an A.J. Fan!)

  • @DC322 Or Kevin Cogan, or Jeff Andretti...

  • Larrauri was faster, Foyt should have let him pass and then try to follow him.

  • I think he's just become a new hero of mine.

  • I miss IMSA GTP. ALMS and Grand Am don't come close.
