n a show of solidarity with the God of Israel, the God of Abraham, Isaac and
Jacob, the following churches/organizations will read from the Torah during
their weekend service this coming August 13 or 14th. This weekend was
chosen for several reasons. The Torah portion that will be read in every
synagogue around the world for that weekend will be from Deuteronomy
3:23 through chapter 7:11.
The suggested reading from this Torah portion is the greatest commandment
found in Deuteronomy 6:4-9 that we love the Lord with all our heart, mind
soul and strength. It is know in Judaism as the Shema and begins with asking
Israel to hear and obey the Lord and realize He is the one and only God. So
Christians will literally be joining a chorus of voices proclaiming on earth and
to the heavens that the God of Israel is the One and Only God.
YHVH be glorified... let His name be praised and His son Yeshua be recognized as the living WORD made flesh.

And Jesus was Jewish! We are all grafted into his church through that very baptism you mentioned! As for the other religions you mentioned, they're all false religions. You know that! I have no idea why you even brought that up... The only way to Jesus is to follow his commandments! If you are breaking his commandments your are in sin! This event is pointing out the greatest of these!
As for Oprah, she's about as far from Christianity as the rest of the slipping and sliding so called Christia

The theology that Christians and Jews are the same, let's call it "Oprah-ism." As if we all pray to the same one God, including Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists... is NOT what the Bible says at all. One verse can explain the entire thing. John 14:6 - "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." No, all religions are NOT the same. The only way to get to God is through Jesus.
