You're woefully ignorant; his data will still be on the internet but will be protected from greedy third party providers who too often mishandle the data.

ARG's stance against syndication is dead on. I am a REALTOR®, and taking that designation has meant that I must take the ethics and values that go along with it. Protecting the data of MLS's is crucial to protecting the interest of home buyers/sellers, which is top priority in real estate transactions. Real estate is local by nature and the more broad you make it, the more windows you open for errors. A home is most often a persons largest source of wealth and not meant to be taken lightly.

I wish I could work for Jim Abbot. I love a Broker with a spine! Clearly he values and protects the hard work of his Agents. Realtor.com, Zillow and Trulia want to get rich sitting in an easy chair in an a/c'ed office. We on the other hand bust our butts climbing through basements and attics & paying exorbitant MLS fees. These sites increase the costs associated with Real Estate transactions, which are then passed on to the consumer. JUST SAY NO to buying back our own data. Thanks Jim.
