xyberfunk - you're showing your ignorance. Sorry, but Bush and Obama are not research oncologists. They have nothing to do with this. Besides, cancer "breakthroughs" we're seeing today began probably as early as the 1990's (so even if a cure occurs during Obama's administration - the research leading to that cure began during the Reagan or the Clinton adminsitration). Cancer research moves slowly - at least until all the thousands of pieces start coming together.
