I had a few people ask me how to create the "flat model texture thing" more than a few times.. I'm assuming they were referring to the UVW template. :) Hope this helps!

  • hi mate,

Try saving out your uvw as a TIFF and setting the blend mode to screen.

Dont have to mess with opacity then. Sometimes you have to save the uvw colours* as different to default depending on the colours of your diffuse.

    *english spelling :)

  • lol, thanks for the tip! :D

  • Got ma 3d model ready but not sure where to start from, I want to apply texture, normal map, opacity, specular and diffuse map, can any one please tell me what should be applied first? does normal comes first or the texturing n other maps?, I have finished unwrapping my model.

  • it wont texture

  • for the texture to update on the model, you may have to reaply it to the diffuse map by browsing back to the new overwritten one.

  • ha yeah still use the print screen button a bit

  • hahahaha i just figured out how i used to do uvw's :) i was taught that just pressing print screen was the way to go and then just resize the cropped image in photoshop
