  • Ha ha, they're so cute! Our family just got two males about 2 days ago. They're still a bit shy (the previous owner didn't have time for them) and we have 6 people in the family, so it might take a while for them to get used to us. It hurts like heck when they bite sometimes. They drew blood from me twice. But the poor things are just nervous, so I've been letting them chill for a bit.

And I think it's so funny when they howl like that. They sound like little gremlins, it's so cute. x3

  • Yes your going to want to let them get settled in for a week or two, then the hard work starts. You are going to want to designate a serrigate "mom", this will be the person in your family with the most extra time and patience. your also going to need a bonding pouch, a pouch that hangs from your neck. Adjust it so that the pouch hangs just at or below the heart, its warm and they can hear your heart beat. If they are sleeping, they should be close to your heart, 6-8 hours a day.

  • Next is the "UN-Pouch Defensiving" Pouch defensive sugars will scream and bite when ever a hand is put in our near their pouch. to start detering this "mom" will need to shove their hand in the pouch over and over and over. You will most likly get bit, alot. hold you hand in as long as you can, pull it out then do it again. Repeat this untill your hand doesn't get bit. you have to show them who is boss by taking the pain. hopefully youll eventually be able to cuddle your hand with them.

  • Night time bonding should be easyier, if your set up for success. your going to want to sugar proof a room, covering all small holes or vents they could get into to hide. The you are going to want hang lots of stuff from the walls and ceiling, they tend to go up. When they are young or whe you first get them your going to wnat to supervise them, learn their habbits, corral them if need be. And most imprtantly let them use you as a jungle gym. when their on you, hop, jog, and jump alittle, CARFULLY

  • I dont know how old you boys are, and if they were not played with for too long, it might take alot of work for a little progress. and again it is imporatnt that ONE person spearhead the "bonding opperation", they do recognize people by sight, sound and smell. and if their is more than one person make sure everyone is calm, they are scared already, they dont need loud quick moving people to make them more scared. hope this helps, GL and let me know how it goes.

  • what time of cage is do u have????

  • we spoil our babies, they have a huge 5ft tall 4 foot wide and 3 feet wide bird cage. we also let them out and have free roam in our room for hours every night.

  • my goodness my recent lil girl Venus is crabby like that she bites as well tho but she does it less and less it really depends on her mood but Shela was just a little crabby when i got her but she quickly bonded :) they get along pretty good at least i love them both so much :)

  • that loud sugar glider demands attention x)

  • The cutest little things. Never heard of sugar gliders before, must do a little research. They remind me of marmosets. They're noisy little things aren't they? Still it makes me a sad to think they'll never see their natural habitat again and must live in cages. It's the reason why I won't buy marmosets, birds or any animal that must be kept caged. Plus marmosets don't live long in captivity.

  • :o i think ur cat wantz to eat em :o

  • i hav 2 ;D they make awsome pts except they pee and pop no matter who gets them out.

  • juicy strips of bacon and they squel like pigs

  • i feel bad for the cat more than anything. i love sugar gliders but if you have a cat you need to pay attention to it as well. "nobody wants to pet you right now" that's really rude. there's no point in getting 2 new pets if you cant even pay attention to the one you already have.

  • very cute!

the cat in the background is like, "pay attention to me! make a video of me!"

  • i want one sooo bad. do they bite? im used to getting bit by my sun conure.

  • youre supposed to hold them tight when they crab. it helps them feel safe :)
