Caracas is the capital and largest city of Venezuela. It is located in the north of the country, following the contours of the narrow Caracas Valley on the Venezuelan coastal mountain range (Cordillera de la Costa). The valley's temperatures are springlike. Terrain suitable for building on lies between 760 and 910 m (2,500 and 3,000 ft) above sea level. The valley is close to the Caribbean Sea, separated from the coast by a steep 2200 m (7400 ft) high mountain range, Cerro Ávila; to the south there are more hills and mountains.

El Distrito Metropolitano de Caracas (Metropolitan District of Caracas) includes the Distrito Capital (the capital city proper) and four other municipalities in Miranda State including Chacao, Baruta, Sucre, and El Hatillo. The city of Caracas had an estimated population of 4,340,076 as of 2008. The population of Greater Caracas, including neighboring cities outside the Capital District proper, is approximately 6.2 million.

  • @rccl36812 It seems that what you hear and what I see are very different things. I'm not going to waste any more time convincing you of something you refuse to acknowledge.

  • @NOxstressxBEExhappy I don't need to watch ANY news, I listen to my family, my friends, some pro, some anti, and I make my own dissicion. You ask, in the last decade...here is what I know, not heard on FOX or Univision....Poverty fell from 60% to 17 %, Education rose 300 %, Public health went from totally privite to Health for all.The Pensions for ALL retieries, including indigenous, 2 million housing projects, Public cable- car, 5 new metro routes, afordable "food maktest. So on, want more ?

  • @rccl36812 Where have you been living the last decade? Do you watch ANY Venezuelan news channels? Or just the government's chanel? Do you not see the same hunger strikes, increasing poverty rates, decreasing energy supplies we do? Yeah, the poor of my country have been mistreated and it's not fair to them in the slightest. But do you think Chavez is really leading them anywhere but hell? It's not just about what he says, but what he does. And there aren't tangible improvements.

  • @beaudashing Absolutetly NOTHING....for more than 40 years, the poor were kicked aside, and had NO way out of their poverty levels. When I lived in Caracas, poor kids would knock on my door, and asked if we had any "Old Bread" they could have ?....Yes ! the poor were abandoned to their own destiny. No medical attention, no schooling, no bank credits, no nothing....So now the "Rich" are sad and upset ! Ahhhh ! I feel so sorry for them....NOT ! ! ! ...

  • @knuckles15961 ZZZZZzzzzzZZZZZZzzzzz you bore me.....wake up and smell the coffee....Adequito de Papa...

  • @rccl36812 You are fucking crazy.

  • @beaudashing You are right. But, destroying the energy supply, giving us the highest inflation in the world, and increasing the crime rate higher than countries at FUCKING WAR... not worth the trade-in I believe. Don't give me that bullshit "It just capitalist propaganda". I LIVE HERE. This government is getting worse and worse, and apparently, people in the exterior think its a good thing. So, the left and right wing can both kiss my ass.

  • @rccl36812 amen!

  • @beaudashing What are they doing know is maybe a better question... at the end the answer is nothing.

  • @OurFadedGarden He failed a coup in 1992.
