Education Through Music, Inc. (ETM) makes music education a reality for thousands of children who would otherwise have limited or no exposure to the arts. Since 1991, ETM has harnessed the power of music to enhance the academic performance and general development of its students. Our work provides these children with the skills to become better learners and the confidence to live in an increasingly challenging world.

This is great - EXCEPT music is not just important as a support to other subjects... music has its own benefits and is so important to have as a part of your life.... I would like to see music advocated for itself, not just as back up

Thank you for telling about the numerous practical benefits of music education. Arts are always the first programs to be cut, but when we are armed with knowledge of the practical benefits, we are far more likely to keep the programs' funding--and keep the kids coming back to school for more. They might not look forward to math class or history class, but they do come to school for things they find enjoyable, such as music class. And all those practical benefits are waiting for them there!

This is a great and truthful video. Music education is great does wonders to help children in all areas of their school life.

It brings joy to my heart to see these kids learning & comprehending music. I bet 95% of these beautiful kids will never get involved in a Gang because they will be too busy studying music, practicing this craft, & keeping that calm nature which music education has instilled in them.

The key is that the school system provides "Full Time Working Artists". Great to see that the connections to "Lifelong learning" are identified. Joining the dots to other Key Learning Areas is important, but it;s great to see that this program stands alone on "motivating the students through music".

I love music so much but I realise that it will take 50 lifetimes to listen to and sing and play everything I want to.....the learning is just endless!!!! I am so excited that children through ETM are learning music. This is just fantastic. Congratulations!!!!!

so very true....and people wonder why our children arent as smart as kids from japan for instance....their music education programs are not being cut...they are they exact opposite...they are praised by their respective administrations....
