Operated remotely from the ground, Dextre, Known as the Special Purpose Dexterous Manipulator (SPDM), Completed an operation to replace a failed Remote Power Control Module on the International Space Station. A task usually only possible by a Human Spacewalk.

  • Here is a great example of bad design. Why not place the PCM box inside the station, as it seems to me a critical part of any station in space would be power, if it is or was a space(room inside) issue then at least have it on panel on a track system that could move to a hatch for a simpler repair. I am all for space exploration but this poorly designed and over engineered.
