"Whoa! That was so cool!" I exclaimed.
Joe picked me up and spun me around.
"You were awesome Sam!" he said.
"Thanks thought you might need something to remember me by." I gave him a quick smile. Nick and Kevin gave me a hug from behind, Joe joined in later.
"I'm gonna miss you" he said.
"I'll miss you more"
Their flight left at about 4 in the morning. I didn't get any sleep. I missed Joe way too much.
The next few days went by pretty slowly. Joe called me one time and we talked for 4 hours. They were starting their tour in America, and said it was good to be back at home.
One day as I was doing my homework, the phone rang. I waited thinking that someone else could get it, but no one did. I groaned and went over to the phone and picked it up.
"Hello?"
"Hi, um can I please speak to Miss Nigli?"
"Samantha or Steph?"
"Uh..Samantha"
"Speaking..."
"Hi I'm Tony from Sony BMG"
"Oh hi"
"I just wanted to say well done with the concert in Sydney, you know, the one with the Jonas Brothers"
"Oh...um..thank you"
"Do you sing often?"
"Um sort of"
"Would you like to consider signing up with us?"
I froze. I was getting a record deal...with Sony BMG!
(A/n: Sony BMG is the biggest recording company in Australia)
"Wow. I dont know what to say"
"Just say yes"
"Yes ..um thank you. Thank you so much"
"No...thank you."
He told me where to meet him the next day and that I needed to have a parent or guardian with me so I chose Mum. Immediately I rang Joe to tell him the good news. He was stoked and he told Kevin who told Frankie who told Nick who told Mrs Jonas who told Mr Jonas.
I couldn't sleep that night, I was too excited.
I woke up early the next day. I woke up Mum because she was still sleeping and I wanted to get to the office early. Mum took an hour to get ready, and I was watching TV.
We had reached the head office by 11. We had to wait 1 whole hour for Tony to arrive. It was really boring.
Finally when Tony arrived, he had a huge stack of papers that mum and I had to sign. We finished the paper work at 1 and then decided to have lunch.
The next day was spent choosing songs for my album. I wrote 5 songs, and the rest were chosen from pre-written songs. I got to work with the biggest songwriters. It was so cool.
My favourite one was "My Boy Is From Heaven". It was a song I wrote for Joe. He just hasn't heard it yet.
It hit Radio Disney real fast and my album was out a couple of days later. It sold more than a million copies in the first week. My tour had started in Melbourne, obviously because I was born there, and I was backstage ready for my concert when my phone rang.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hey babe"
"JOE!! Omg how are you?"
"I'm fine hun, how are you? Your album sold a million copies over here"
"oh my God, no way!"
"yeah its freaking awesome. We have 6 copies."
"6!?"
"yeah, one for me, one for Kevin, one for Nick, one for Frankie, one for mum and one for dad"
"Wow. Talk about support haha"
"It's totally worth it. I am in love with 'My Boy Is From Heaven' who wrote that one?"
"I did"
"yeah right, no seriously, who wrote it?"
"I'm telling you I did"
"no way, I know you didn't, who wrote it?"
"JOE I'M TELLING YOU I WROTE IT!!"
"haha, I know hun, I'm just messing with ya"
"goodness, dont do that"
"what are you doing?"
"getting ready for my first concert"
"Oh Awsome, hold on one second"
"ok"
I waited for about 10 seconds and then heard three more voices on the phone.
