Album: Dream Days At The Hotel Existence (2007)

Lyrics:

I was sick and tired of waiting lost
You were mad at me for so much more
I was bored listening to the same old chords,
you would complain that I was never around
And we shouldn't hope, no we shouldn't hope
If love is so easy then why am I stuck
If life is so smoothe why can't I get enough I'm still lost and running Everyday moves like a hurricane
It's dragging me around no matter what I say
Night time in the city steets I'm out of luck
The cobblestones are dark and wet there's no-one I trust
And we shouldn't hope, no we shouldn't hope
Mr So-Easy say where have you gone
I'm looking for somewhere that I can lay down my arms I'm still lost and running
I'm taking my time I'll let it float away
Spare me no lies and you'll have nothing to say
The further we slip into this rabbit hole
The harder we look for a new place to go I'm still lost and running

  • i much prefer powderfinger to silverchair. i really liked silverchair's older stuff but with the new stuff i get the feeling they've just tried to overcomplicate it too much.

as opposed to just good rock music that everyone can understand and get into, does that make sense?

  • I love how he is singing at the bottom of his range for the entire song and then at the end he goes into normal awesome Bernard Fanning voice we love.

  • perfect rockmusic!!

  • Saw these guys in coffs harbour on their across the great divide tour. Bloody brilliant.

  • Great song, great band. I have to say i prefer the original lost and running to this live version, but i still LOVE IT

  • I tend to Agree,"loosewheels88", & please don't take offense, but my view is that the Better the Music, the More that,at least to Some extent, Complication or Complexity are Needed, to keep our Interest & to rise above any "mediocrity" Do you see what I mean?..."ufothe3"

  • They're Good Aren't They? This "Bluesy" "Rocker" is an Ode,I reckon, of sorts, to a Certain Highly Regarded British Band's Song, that reminded "me" & "you" that, "You Can't Always Get What You Want"(!!) Be that as it may, the Song We Can Enjoy right now,as Sung by Bernhard Fanning, is This Groups Own Composition & it's a "Top Effort"!!!

  • we met them

  • awesome!
