I love camping, I have not been camping in awhile because I lost my license, I really miss camping. There is just something so nice and peaceful and serene about camping and sleeping in a tent out in the woods.The only problem down here in FL, is too many drug addicts ( mostly crackheads ) hang out in the campgrounds and they'll steal everything on your campsite ( including your tent ) if you don't have someone there watching your stuff. Unfortunatley there is no off season for these crackheads

This may sound like a dumb question, but if you have the tarp up, is that for rain or sun protection. If it is for rain protection, why put the rain fly on there, it seems in my opinion that you would get much better ventaliation by leaving it off, I mean the air would circulate better, and the tarp would offer much better protection from the rain. Just a question, no offense meant.

@woohog1 It's mainly for raccoon and skunk protection. The animals are very habituated and assertive in that park. I want my tent walls as thick as I can get them.

@djeflow It is in Oka Park, near Montreal in Quebec. It's a crappy park due to overcrowding in the summer, but in the autumn and winter it's a good place to go.
