@msw812 brad gillis left ozzy to go back to night ranger because they had their first album coming out and alread had a tour planned. bernie torme came in and finished the ozzy tour then ozzy took time to have auditions which is when jake auditioned and just barely beat out george lynch for the job...brad gillis is also the guitar player on speak of the devil album and video...

I dabbled in guitar since around 8 years old … but I went to go see the BARK AT THE MOON tour at the age of 12 … I was so COMPLETELY blown away that night by Jake E Lee that i practiced ALL night when when i got home … into the early morning … and still have fun playing my guitar each and every night 25+ years later!!! thank you Jake!!!!!

To me 'not getting along with Ozzy' means you won't put up with his shit. Being a guitar player myself, the videos of him speak for themselves. He is a fluid player with feeling and speed.
