Cheryl Says Goodbye To Robert & Robin

General Hospital: Robert takes Cheryl's hand for the wedding party dance but shortly after her father cuts in. Sean & Duke find a way to see to it that Robert catches the garder. Tiffany is hoping that Cheryl will catch the bouquet but Robin does instead. Afterwards, Cheryl is packing up to leave PC. She is saying goodbye to Robin when Robert walks in. Robert asks if she knows where is going to go. She says her final goodbyes to Robert and leaves.

I remember watching this back in '88 and when they danced together and the way they looked at each other I thought for sure they were getting back together! I was so heart-broken when she left!

@udhoop Are you serious? You really thought by Robert being a gentleman and following the Wedding Dance protocol there was hope of them getting back together? You really were hooked weren't you? I guess you weren't impressed with the blonde who landed at the cottage then? I am glad there was a nice goodbye scene with Robin.

Cut me some slack DL! I was 15 and remember we didn't have all these spoilers and comings and goings like we do now! I had no idea Cheryl was leaving the show....I think I cried! And no I didn't care for the blonde...I actually stopped watching the show I was so upset! LOL!

They seemed to end it on pretty decent terms but when Cheryl came back a year or so later...man, Robert was bitter!

This is the Cheryl I want to rememeber not that travesty they brought back for whatever reason. Oh well, that's soaps. If we didn't complain I supose that would mean the writers weren't doing thier job,

So true. I thought for a split second that Robert wasn't going to let her go. That he was going to grab her and tell her to stay. When they brought her back for the Lucas storyline they made Robert out to really hate her and it didn't seem that way here.
