VA ABC Vignette 9: Buying Alcohol for Underage Persons

This is the ninth spot in a series of 10 vignettes shot with the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board. It's illegal to purchase alcohol or serve persons under the legal drinking age. In this spot, a chief catches on to the poor decision two Sailors make about purchasing a bottle of liquor from the package store. Working with the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Board, the Naval Safety Center was able to produce these spots, and also helped to produce a 27 minute training video that will be shipped to commands around the world in the next month or two. The larger training product will contain specific information about laws in various states and tips for avoiding situations that can lead to poor decisions and tragedy.
