This is the second installment of Robert Rodriguez's 10 Minute Film School. Here he shows how he was able to storyboard his film Desperado using a video camera. He uses a simple mini-DV camera to figure out which angles he will use for the film.

and how exactly you know that actor wouldnt do video shoot, its their job to be on the set and they got paid for it no matter what you shoot on.

The thing that they are failing to mention here is that the end result looked as good as it did because of the director of photography. I think it was Guillermo Navarro. Navarro mostly works with HellBoy director, Guillermo del toro.

Guillermo Navarro won an Oscar for cinematography for Pan's Labyrinth. Roberts visual style started to look more amateur after he started to use digital cameras. His movies dont look bad after digital, but he still thinks he doesnt need a DP. And he's wrong
