This is a video for the students of Foskey's Martial Arts. It contains the basics for practicing Modern Arnis. The film is old, and not professional, but it contains good information.

  • Good, solid information. Thanks for sharing this with all the avid arnis practitioners!

As for those commenting on his outwards appearance, I can't help but wonder what YOU look like and your skill level. Shame on you! Can't you focus on the content and the goodwill to teach of this man? That is really small...

  • how can you be credible if your gut is sticking out and you look like a reject from the Biggest Loser. Technique is not enough dude. Arnis/Kali/Eskrima is a great martial art but its only as good as the one who uses it.

  • Learn the basics of Kali - search "Latrago Kali"

  • @GaolisVideoLog Bullshit. Presas and many others took the "japanese" gi concept for familiarity and marketing. I find it disrespectful as do many of my Filipino friends to include practicioners of Kali and Silat that find this offensive. I doubt you will find any old Filipinos that remember the Bataan death march, or any that had families that lost loved ones fighting against the Japanese in WW2 in favor of wearing a Japanese inspired uniform. The belt structure came from Judo as well.

  • The reason why the belt is on the side is because it simulates a sword sheath and its on the right side because Remy Presas was left handed.

  • there's just one wrong thing here, he's enormously fat. sorry, i can't stand it

  • the art is in good hands with the help of dedicated practitioners worldwide.

  • thanks for thease bro from melbourne australia

  • i only know street fight..

  • @GaolisVideoLog no, i asked a simple question and am getting flack for it lol ...now who's making assumptions. you easterners must just be offensive.

  • @kempobrad No, but you implied it by referring to a Japanese tradition of gi wearing. But this isn't Japan, nor is it one of those Taekwondo styles, where they adopted that style of uniform. And it's also not the majority of martial arts that wear their clothes like this.

You westerners have to understand this when talking about martial arts: it is part of our tradition and our heritage. You shouldn't assume that, what you see in Japan, counts for the rest of Asia.
