(Vid 65) Brussel Zuid, An International Railway Crossroads (Part 2)

This vid is a follow up to my vid No.11, filmed earlier in the year.

Between arriving at 11h30 on the 'Eurostar' from London St. Pancras and departing just after 12h20 on the 'ICE' to Koeln and Frankfurt on Thurs Nov 18th 2010, an opportunity existed to film a few national and international arrivals and departures at the North end of the platforms of Brussel Zuid station.

A variety of Belgian trains go about thier busines including a Benelux service from Amsterdam before the ICE arrives from the nearby carriage sidings.

Unbelievable though, that Belgian railways still have those 1960 built emu's like on 1:15 in service. Many of those still await AWS equipment... If a driver passes a signal at danger disaster may be immanent.

@spoorus They are on thie last legs now with an order for brand new trains to make an S-Baan for Brussel, I do believe there is one test from Siemens. The AWS saga was a contributury to the major crash at Halle/Buizingen earlier this year in the falling snow
