Based on a very old ballad from around 1549, Burns reworked it with his usual magic to produce this love song. In general praise of all women-kind! This is usually sung just before or just after the speech "Toast to the Lassies".
The best feature is of course the last verse where Burns suggests that men were made as a practice, and women-kind are the real item! Speaking of the ladies......
"Auld Nature swears the loveliest dears
Her Noblest work she classes-o
Her 'prenticed hand, she tried on man
and then she made the Lasses-o!"

    Hi...I don't do tabs but the chords are fairly straightforward
