AMV - Saiyuki - Homura's Iris

An amv I made over a year ago but never released for some dumb reason. Homura, the tragic and misunderstood villain for the series Gensomaden Saiyuki was always my favorite character in the series and this is his side of the story. The song is Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls and I thought it quite fitting for Homura's life full of rejection, living on the outskirts of heaven, love, loss and vengeance. Enjoy!

I love you for making this. Beautiful. I always really liked Homura, he was a great character with a wonderful backstory. I love the song, as well, and it fits amazingly well with his story.

@Yeoldmarm Now, now. Saiyuki by no means "sucked". It had a good story and great characters. If you meant that the anime ADAPTATION of the manga sucked, I might go along with that. I still enjoy it, but I will very much agree that it could be so much better if it were redone. (For the record; Hakkai's voice in Reload pissed me off soooo badly.) >:-(

That was gorgeous! Perfect song for Homura. He had such a crappy fate, really makes ya understand why the ancient gods were always gettin' overthrown by their own. I loved it [love the song Iris, too!]

Looking at a very old AMV apparently - tragic Homura - my favorite character, and most mourned - but exactly fated as one would be in an ancient near eastern story about a child born of the natural and etheric: forever torn and twisted. SOOOO glad i worship elsewhere. But excellent JOB on connecting music with storyline. Not much can be said about art since the whole Anime SUCKED and deserves to be done over by madhouse or Bones with a real budget. Again years later, you're still online

I love this amv. No one else really gets that Homura loved Renrei... it's sad, nearly everyone makes him the bad guy. I really do love this amv.

Yeah, Homura was always such a tragic and misunderstood character to me so I thought he deserved a little bit of happiness in the end so with a little sneaky editing it was possible ;).
