Performace realized in the context of the show "Heavy Food", curated by Paola Tognon and Laura Nozza, Teatro Sociale of Bergamo, September 2th 2005.

Starting at 8:30pm, the artist Cesare Pietroiusti and 4 volunteers eat a pizza of about 200gr each, trying to be as slow as possible, but without stopping eating-related movements.
The actions ended between 11:15pm and 11:45pm.

  • really nice around 1:40 with the clock in the background. Nice to have the sound at the beginning so you realise that the film's sped up, so the people are eating really slow.... So what's it about?

taking your time while the world rushes past you? slowing things down? or having the world fly past you at great speed and being helpless to catch up? the disconnect between the time it took, and how we perceive a time disconnect when it's sped up on film (experience of time being changeable?)
