Me playing the Tetris Theme Song (Korobeiniki) on every accordion I own.
And I mean EVERY accordion.
-----------------------------
"MODERN" ACCORDION
-This was my first (playable) accordion. It was the one I used when I first started taking lessons, and it was the first one I used for performing for a large audience. It's pretty worn out, but I still play it now & then.
"LOMBARDI" ACCORDION
-The first accordion I ever held & played in my life. My Grandmother bought it at a garage sale & kept it in the attic for 50 years before giving it to me. All the straps are rotted, but I'm determined to restore this personal piece of history.
"FIRST ACT" ACCORDION
-Yes, it is indeed a children's toy. But this is the closest thing I'm ever going to get to a Bayan Accordion for under $100. So far, Tetris is the only thing I can play on it.
"CORDOVOX" ACCORDION
-I actually bought this from my Accordion Teacher. Over 30 years old, the Cordovox Accordion (I think) was the first electronic accordion made. By plugging it into a speaker the size of a small refrigerator through a cord thicker than a garden hose, you can get electronic sounds to come out while also playing it acoustically. Sadly for me, the cord is frayed, and most of the electronic sounds don't come out anymore.
"LIRA" ACCORDION
-I got this from my Mother's friend who didn't play it anymore. Honestly, out of all the acoustic accordions I have, I'd say this one has the richest and most beautiful sound. Too bad both of the shoulder straps are shot (Hence the last 12 seconds of the video).
"CASTIGLIONE" ACCORDION
-My Dad's cousin gave this to me. This accordion is in perfect shape and works smoothly. It's the easiest one to play out of all my acoustics. It doesn't have much variety on sounds, though.
ROLAND FR-7 "V-ACCORDION"
-The best of the best. The Roland is fully electronic, but still utilizes bellow movement. I first saw this at an AAA Convention 3 years ago and bugged my parents constantly about it. A year later, they bought it for me as a birthday/Christmas present (for the next several years). And I've played it everyday since then. I play this at every gig & show I go to, and have easily gotten $300+ in tips with it.

  • I'm amazed. All I have is a little Lo Duca Bros. I'm curious, how much is your entire collection worth?

  • @imnotmitchturino Well, since I got alot of them for free from relatives, I couldn't honestly say, but here's a rough estimate: (question marks mean I got them for free and am guessing)

    Modern: $200

    Lombardi: $50(?)

    First Act: $20

Cordovox + Tone Generator (not in video): $250

    Lira: $200(?)

    Castiglione: $100(?)

    Roland: $5000

Concertina: $100 (not in the video, but I got one since making this)

    So, maybe around $6000?

  • Why is it that you do not pump the Roland?

  • @BBgunBart It's electric
