  • so nice i use to live in nyc form 1993-2009 now am in NJ i use to live on 75th and 5th. man how wonderful was it ! my building was 14 storys high and each condo was the hole floor so i could say 14 lived in the hole building.

  • @67tr876 Thanks for your comments! Hope your Jersey pad is nice, too. You get a lot more room out there for the money than you do in the City, although being in the City is pretty nice and convenient. Our Upper West Side neighborhood is nice and quiet - and very friendly.

  • Most of them currently on the market are 50% list from this time last year. I would still take a 6,000 sq ft full floor over a townhouse any day. Just not crazy about 5-7 floors of 25ft wide space.

  • @bighebrewbear It's amazing how much value there is right now - if you're in a position to purchase real estate. The townhome meets some people's needs for a self-contained "house," despite the narrow footprint. The full floor is a wonderful living space - if the ceilings are nice and high. My pet peeve: floor-to-ceiling windows where people have really bad (or no) drapes.

  • those town houses are so elegant compared to that awful high rise!! The views may be excellent, but those townhouses represent real taste and style. Id love to live in a NY Townhouse

  • Those aren't four stories. What you're seeing is 5 stories. The parlor floor at the level of the entrance door with two levels above and two levels below: the garden floor and the basement.

  • Where was the garage in the video? I didn't see it. Where do they have townhouses with garages in NYC? I love my cars and bikes and want to move but I can't live without my cars. It sounds stupid but I can't and every website for ny condos and townhomes have no garages and no parking spaces.

  • Thanks for watching! You're spot on. The new high-rise buildings all feel like a hotel inside with long halls and doors all in a row. The townhouse has the real feeling of being in a home, and the multiple levels are wonderful. Many have courtyards out back, offering privacy and a real green escape. Ahhhh!

  • Sunrose, I'm with you! I'd love to snoop inside each one of them. I have actually been in one of them in this video, and it's wonderful. It's the one in the shoot with a tuck-under garage. Only about 200 NYC townhouses have their own garages and they are now against code to build something new with a garage. The existing ones have been grandfathered in, so they're okay. It's a fantastic convenience in Manhattan, a real luxury!

  • I want to go inside them all. I just want to take a look and then I'll go. LOL
