homemade compressed air powerd engine running on the air from an old fridge compressor with a 2lt bottle and a 500ml bottle as a reservoir. whan the video starts the pressure is about 50 psi and the compressor is running continuously until the end when i stoped it as the engine slowed down. when i started the engine the pressure in the tank was about 60 psi. this is the same engine as in my last video where the camra went wrong. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G7sfo6drPvs my last video of this engine.

  • i based the design on one of those air hogs engines. basicly, every time the piston reaches the top of the cylinder, it pushes open a valve which alows the dead space in the top of the cylinder to fill to the same pressure as the air supply. the expanding air pushes the piston downwards until it moves past a small hole in the side of the cylinder. the air pressure then escapes and the momentom of the flywheel pushes the piston upwards again.
