Fat Vampire is a never coming of age story by Adam Rex. This novel tries very hard to break into the pop culture phenomenon of teen vampires. Unfortunately, for myself at least, the novel is not well done. Give it a read...you may think differently. If you have read Fat Vampire let me know what you thought.

  • Anyone seen any video reviews or read any online reviews about the e-book

April Curran Meets the Vampire of Crimson Cove High School?

I have yet to read any of Orson's material and I KNOW he's beast author.

I'll jot the other recommendations down. Thanks, Amber. :)

  • @NSGU Anything by Orson Welles is a safe bet. Children of Men by PD James is really good. Also Memnoch the Devil by Anne Rice is, from what I remember, a great one from the devil's point of view. It is a middle book in a series but it's pretty removed from the rest of the books. You can pick it up without knowing a lot about the other novels.

I'd prefer something that has a more or less philosophical tinge to the plot(whether it be metaphysical philosophy, quantum physics, theology, politics, etc.).

Basically, books like Canterbury Tales, Brave New World, and Dante's Divine Comedy.

  • @AlexDeese Ah! I will have to check them out.

  • @NSGU What type of fiction do you like? Murder mystery? Sci-Fi? Romance (haha)? Fantasy? Horror? I got suggestions for all. haha.

  • I'm not one fer book-lookin'-at. :P

Anyway, I don't suppose you'd have any recommendations for a good fiction novel(I'm hardline indifferent to fiction as of late)?

  • @amberlapointe1987 Young adult fiction, he is a also youtuber. Just search vlogbrothers. His brother Hank shares the channel with him.
